Salik is Dubai’s electronic toll system. You drive through toll gates without stopping, and tolls are recorded automatically.
Salik Variable Pricing (What Drivers Should Know)
- Peak hours (weekdays): typically AED 6 per crossing
- Off-peak: typically AED 4 per crossing
- Toll-free hours: typically 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM
- Sundays: usually AED 4 all day (special days/events can differ)
How Many Salik Gates Are There?
Dubai has expanded Salik over time. New gates were added at Business Bay Crossing and Al Safa South (activated Nov 24, 2024), bringing the total to 10 gates.
